You will provide professional podiatric care as an autonomous practitioner while being an integral part of the wider team. Providing a high level of care as part of a care plan, liaising or referring to other health care professionals or agencies as appropriate. Undertaking to plan, manage and organise your workload to ensure effective caseload management of a diverse range of patients, mainly within the community setting, ensuring appropriate delegation and on-going supervision of previously assessed patients to podiatry healthcare support workers.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working and contributing as part of a proactive podiatry team. Podiatrists with developing experience or new graduates are welcome to apply and support with the flying start programme can be provided.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
