Full Job Description

Here at NHS Tayside, we are continually seeking ways to transform and improve the way we deliver health and care to the people of Tayside.  We are focusing on clinician-led, whole-system redesign, working towards the implementation of modern, world class services.  Our approach is rooted in ensuring we are providing high quality, safe, affordable and sustainable health and care, while remodelling our workforce to improve outcomes, using realistic medicine principles and by working closely with partners in a whole system approach to transform pathways of care to deliver more care outwith hospital settings.

As Chief Officer for Acute Services, you will be a key contributor to the transformation of NHS Taysides whole system health and care strategy, providing executive leadership of Acute Services performance and activity.  You will focus on sustaining and enhancing our culture of continuous quality improvement, where patients and service users are at the forefront of what we do.

To thrive in this role, you will share our vision, aims and values and will be a committed member of our Executive Leadership Team.  You will demonstrate inspirational and passionate leadership, contributing to a culture where people are treated fairly and consistently, and are empowered to do their best work in service to the people of Tayside.

We are looking for an ambitious, driven and resilient individual with significant experience gained within a complex health environment.  A strategic leader, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading cultural change, ensuring quality and safety in patient care, sound financial management and ensuring effective governance.  You will be an effective communicator and motivator, with experience of collaboration and partnership working and demonstrated commitment to providing high quality services.
