Basic Salary: £96,963 128,841 per annum.

Borders General Hospital is a modern and well-equipped 284 bed DGH serving the rural Borders area in South East Scotland, approximately 36 miles from Edinburgh. 

The Role

This post is a substantive post for a consultant Urologist who wishes to provide a high quality Urology service. The post holder will be a key member of the team delivering general urology and diagnostic services for the population of Scottish Borders. Development of specialist services according to the need of the population will be encouraged and it will depend on the skills and training of the individual consultant. Emphasis will be given in prostate diagnostics and management of BPH and protocolised follow up of patients with urological malignancy and medical andrology.

Candidates must hold FRCS or equivalent and be fully registered with the General Medical Council in the Specialist Register for Urology before taking up the post or be within 6 months of expected date of obtaining CCT.
