Engineering Modern Apprentice

We are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Modern Apprentice at our Ladywell Sawmill in
Kirriemuir. This is an excellent opportunity to be in paid employment while learning new skills,
experience and gaining qualifications - SVQ 3 and NC or HNC.

The successful candidate will initially work within our Maintenance department for up to 3 months
demonstrating the skills and aptitude needed before attending Dundee & Angus College in
August/September 2024.

The apprenticeship will give you ample time to learn and develop your skills and expertise whilst
performing tasks to earn your qualifications.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

You will undertake a structured apprenticeship programme (up to 4 yrs) which will incorporate
theoretical study at college and experiential learning on-site at our Sawmill.

You will gain skills and knowledge through work experience and college learning to provide electrical
and mechanical support to the site. Through work experience and job shadowing you will gain
operational knowledge of the relevant plant machinery and systems. Working closely with our
engineers you will learn how to repair and maintain a range of onsite plant equipment, promote a
safe and reliable standard to support the site, and meet customers' demands.
