Full Job Description
- Provide strong leadership of the Pro Shop staff, including training & development and performance management
- Oversee and manage the coaching for all members, including adults and juniors, guests & visitors
- Develop our Ladies and Junior Development Programmes to ensure development and progression for both groups
- Run and manage the weekly competitions, via Club V1 & BRS
- Be part of our Senior Management team within the club, along with the General Manager, Front of House Manager and Course Manager
- As the traditional Pro Shop is now in house, you will be expected to manage the stock levels in the Pro Shop and provide a full range of equipment with responsibility for purchasing and ensuring the club reaches our targeted KPI's
- Provide first class tuition and coaching to members, guests and visitors
- A progressive approach that broadens the appeal of golf at Baberton Golf Club and contributing to the delivery the Baberton brand
- Working with the General Manager to improve the retention processes that the club offers to aid member satisfaction
Ad-hoc administration tasks.
The renumeration will be based on experience and knowledge.
Working hours are based upon 40 hours per week, with a mixture of shifts including evening andweekend.
You will have the experience, knowledge and skill sets that will enhance the service that our members, guests and visitors receive.
Baberton Golf Club, situated in the village of Juniper Green, in the west of Edinburgh are inviting applications for the position of Head Professional / Head of Golf Operations.
Due to an opportunity that our current Head Professional / Head of Golf Operations has been offered, we now seek to fill this position.
Baberton Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Golf Professional, who wants to develop their career with a progressive, forward thinking Golf Club.
Unlike most clubs, Baberton operates the Pro Shop on an 'in-house' basis. This model affords the professional team an improved work life balance, and a fully stocked shop from which to operate.
Baberton Golf Club has a very active golfing membership and strong membership numbers.
Our golf course is in fantastic condition and as testament to this Baberton has been asked to host the Men's Lothian Amateur Championships, which will be held in July this year.
In 2024 the club will also embark on an exciting project to re-develop the 18th hole, this is a major project that the club is undertaking and in this role you will have an impact in the development of this project.
The club recently invested in a state-of-the-art Swing Studio which incorporates a Trackman 4 system, enabling the club to be at the forefront of coaching, custom fitting; offering our members key opportunities for the development of their game.
