Personal Assistant / Care Worker

This is a permanent, part-time role for a Personal Care Assistant, in which you will be required to fully assist with all aspects of daily living, including but not limited to the following-

Responsibilities:

• Assist client with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing


• Assist client with ventilation


• Provide assistance with mobility and transfers to and from bed using tracking hoists


• Help with meal preparation and feeding


• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry


• Provide companionship and emotional support to client


• Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals


• Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals


• Must have a driving license


• Assist on occasion to medical appointments and outings
  
  Private employer, (39 male) is looking for someone with a patient, caring nature with a positive and proactive attitude to work to fulfil day-shift cover (12hr shifts - 24hr week - 10am-10pm) to help aid in all aspects of daily life. Someone sociable and able to commit to the agreed shift pattern(s). Someone also willing to commit to overtime in order to cover holidays and sickness., Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is required


• SVQ2 qualification is preferred but not required


• Familiarity with basic healthcare practices and procedures


• Ability to follow instructions and work independently


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Compassionate and patient demeaner
