Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) is a leader in research, teaching and knowledge exchange activities. In REF 2021, Strathclyde’s Allied Health submission was rated 100% ‘world-leading’ for its research environment, ranked joint 11th (of 91) in the UK for both its overall Research Quality and Research Power and is the highest-performing Scottish institution (THE). Our MPharm and Biomedical Sciences undergraduate degrees are highly rated in the UK, with Pharmacy & Pharmacology ranked 4th in UK (Complete University Guide 2023) and Top 10 in UK for Biomedical Sciences (Complete University Guide 2023). The Institute seeks to appoint a grade 4 technician with up to 3 years relevant experience of working in Biology and/or Chemistry laboratories and who can provide technical support to our teaching. Candidates will have a Science based education to HNC, Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent level.
