As Finance Manager you will support the Chief Financial Controller in the delivery of a first-class accounting function to meet the Scottish Funding Council’s (SFC’s) requirements, best practice accounting standards and ensure effective financial leadership, advice and support to the College.

You will lead on the operational management of day-to-day aspects of an integrated finance service for the college and provide effective leadership and management to the finance team, ensuring effective planning, prioritisation and coordination. You will also work in conjunction with relevant departments to deliver an effective integration of operational requirements and developments required by the college financial service.

You will be CCAB part qualified or qualified accountant and will have experience within a complex financial environment. Evidence of planning and the handling of organisational responsibilities while delivering financial services within a complex multi-faceted environment is essential.

You will have comprehensive experience in the management or supervision of a finance/payroll department/team. You will also have experience in budget planning and monitoring, purchase ledger, sales ledger, nominal ledger and cash book transaction processing, in addition to an exposure of working with internal and external people in extracting and explaining financial information.
