Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in the oversight of the core transactional finance functions, taking ownership of the full accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash & banking elements.

Your New Role:

To support the group's continued growth, you will contribute to the smooth running of the core financial functions, with emphasis on the following areas:

Core role and responsibilities:

Record all purchases made by the company accurately and promptly
Verify purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes for accuracy and completeness
Ensure timely payment to suppliers while adhering to payment terms
Issuing Purchase Orders accurately and promptly
Reconcile supplier statements with purchase ledger balances to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Record all sales transactions accurately and in a timely manner
Generate and send out sales invoices to customers promptly
Maintain accounts receivable records, including receipts and sales contracts
Verify sales orders, invoices, and delivery notes
Follow up on outstanding customer invoices, resolving any billing discrepancies
Reconcile customer statements with sales ledger balances to ensure accuracy, addressing any discrepancies
Reconcile cash transactions with bank statements to ensure accuracy
Process bank transfers, withdrawals, and other banking transactions as required
Maintain petty cash funds and reconcile petty cash transactions regularly
Maintain a comprehensive record of all outgoing payments, including expenses and bills
Processing both GDP & foreign payments accurately and efficiently
Ensure all payments are properly authorised, and schedule payments in accordance with payment terms and cash flow requirements
Monitor and review payment schedules to avoid late payments
Reconcile outgoing payments with bank statements to ensure accuracy
Communicate with internal & external stakeholders regarding payment status and inquiries
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department and collaborate with other departments to enhance overall business operations
Work to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
