Accountant (Change Programme) - 6 Month Contract

Our public sector client, based near Dundee, is seeking a qualified Accountant to join their Change Programme Team initially on a 6-month contract. This role requires on-site presence in the office near Dundee for 2 days per week.

As the Change Programme Accountant, you will lead projects focusing on reviewing Central Support services costs and ensuring full cost recovery of Council fees and charges. Responsibilities include project planning, data gathering, financial analysis, modelling, report input, and compliance assurance.

This list is not exhaustive, and the jobholder will be required to undertake other duties as necessary.

Person Specification:

Qualifications and Training:

CCAB, CIMA, or equivalent qualification. (Essential)

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Excellent numeracy and IT skills.

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Proficiency in accounting and analytical skills, particularly in absorption costing.

Experience in project management.

Familiarity with corporate financial systems.

Experience in developing charging policies and client charges. (Desirable)

Personal Qualities:

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues from various disciplines.

Flexibility to meet tight deadlines and handle conflicting priorities.
