Location: Aberuthven / Home working

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Timber Frame/SIPs Estimator or a Quantity Surveyor, looking to work with an award-winning, family-owned SIPs House Building and Garden Room business. They pride themselves on their family values of hard work, honesty, kindness, courage, and supporting every member of their team.

You will be an integral part of the commercial team supporting the Directors, Project Managers, and Quantity Surveyors in the daily commercial management of multiple and varied contracts within their portfolio of projects.

The role requires an experienced candidate with the ability to work in a high paced environment, who is commercially minded, and ideally has relevant construction-based experience.  They must be able to demonstrate a proven track record and have the ability to communicate effectively with clients, sub-contractors, and colleagues at all levels.

What you will do:

• Produce accurate and competitive take offs and quotations at set target margins.
• Manage opportunities, in agreement with the sales team, to ensure workload is managed and timescales are achieved.
• Liaise with clients on specification and cost options.
• Review factory and site outputs against quotes.
• Prepare material take offs for roughing and finishing kits and obtain prices for quotes.
• Commercial administration of applications, change control and final accounts.

Ideally the candidate will have:

• A relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree).
• Experience of a dynamic estimating or quantity surveying department.
• Experience in timber frame/SIPs construction, or other construction background.
• Ability to identify priorities.
• Ability to manage workload and work to tight deadlines.
• Experience of using Microsoft Excel and Word or estimating software.
