We currently have a 22.2 hour Band 3 vacancy within Borders Sexual Health services. 

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team. 

The role will involve travel across NHS Borders sites within the Scottish Borders.  The main component of this role is to support a Band 6 nurse in the delivery of LARC (Long-acting reversible contraception).  In this supportive role, duties include administrative tasks, assisting in setting up clinics, and chaperoning/supporting service users during procedures.  As this is a new venture within our services, you will be involved in the set up of the service alongside the lead clinician, lead nurse and the Band 6 nurse.

There will also be opportunities to work within our main base at Galashiels health centre, where the role will involve administrative duties and ordering/management of stock supplies.

We are a small, very supportive team, and you will benefit from fortnightly team education sessions.

It is vital that the successful candidate holds a full UK driving license as daily travel will be essential.  Equally we are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in sexual health/contraception and is always respectful of patient confidentiality.

Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
