Full Job Description

Eden Scott is assisting a client in the search for a full-time Materials Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing production inventory, ensuring a consistent supply of essential parts to meet daily production schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently receive, dispatch, and store goods while promptly addressing any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain open communication with the Production Manager regarding material availability.
  • Manage inventory movement within the company system from receipt to completion.
  • Monitor inventory levels against production schedules and forecasts.
  • Conduct regular inventory counting and cycle count processes.
  • Procure consumables and workshop tools as required.
  • Place orders for inventory under supplier agreements to meet production demands.
  • Transport materials from the warehouse to the production line as needed.
  • Provide support to the Production team with material handling tasks.
  • Operate forklifts to efficiently manage stores and handle cargo.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and actively participate in process improvement initiatives.

Application Requirements:

  • Possess strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Display a proactive attitude and adaptability to evolving business needs.
  • Demonstrate reliability as a team player committed to ensuring uninterrupted production.
  • Work efficiently and methodically with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Previous experience in inventory or stock control is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A forklift license and experience are advantageous, with training available if necessary.
