Rail Safety Trainer / Assessor

The Trainer/Assessor has responsibility for training delivery and quality assurance compliance. This role reports directly to the Training Manager, in whose absence the Training Director.,

• Delivery of rail safety training and workplace assessments


• Comply with accrediting bodies to ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements


• Maintain effective liaison with management and administration staff


• Assist with the management of training facility and resources


• Record, monitor and review learner progress


• Assist in the development of training course materials


• Assist in the upskilling and mentorship of trainers/assessors


• Actively promote the equality, diversity & inclusion policy


Additional duties:


• Internal verification (as required)


• Attendance at standardisation and training meetings


• Undertake regular CPD and maintain relevant records of such


• Any other relevant duties requested
  
  NSAR approved trainer/assessor status


• Trainer and Assessor Qualifications relevant to RTAS rules


• Thorough understanding of RTAS Rules and quality assurance compliance requirements


• IT literate


• Excellent presentation skills


• Knowledge of rail industry


• Excellent interpersonal skills


• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to prioritise effectively


• Ability to perform under pressure and work on own initiative
