Full Job Description

Eden Scott is supporting a client seeking a full-time Storesperson to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will oversee production inventory, guaranteeing a steady supply of necessary parts to the production team to meet daily production schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, dispatching, and appropriately storing goods while addressing any discrepancies.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve quality issues.
  • Keeping the Production Manager informed about material availability.
  • Managing inventory movement within the company system from receipt to completion.
  • Monitoring inventory levels against production schedules and forecasts.
  • Conducting inventory counting and cycle count processes.
  • Procuring consumables and workshop tools.
  • Placing orders for inventory under supplier agreements to meet production needs.
  • Transporting materials from the warehouse to the production line as required.
  • Supporting the Production team with material handling tasks.
  • Operating forklifts to manage stores efficiently and handle cargo.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and participating in process improvement initiatives.

Application Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with both internal teams and suppliers.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Dependable team player committed to ensuring uninterrupted production.
  • Efficient and methodical work approach, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Prior experience in inventory or stock control is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Forklift license and experience are advantageous, although training can be provided if necessary.
