Oil and Gas: The Party Season kicks off in March

Did you know that Trinidad and Tobago, having been involved in the business for more than a century, has a rather large oil sector – yet, being a small, two-island nation with a population of only slightly more than a million, anyone working in this field will more than likely know most of their industry colleagues by name or even be their scuba diving buddy.

let's party, Trinidad style

Let’s get this party started!

While we can’t all jet off to the Caribbean with our wet suits to enjoy such a close and convivial work atmosphere, there are plenty of opportunities to win friends, influence people and even find our perfect position much closer to home.

The full-on party month of March kicks off with what should be the hottest date in your social and professional diary: a VIP get-together in Shetland.

The Energy North Showcase Shetland on March 3 brings together some of the biggest names in oil and gas in what promises to be a must-see-must-be-seen-at event.

Mareel in Lerwick will play host to this exclusive industry knees-up and will see representation from industry heavyweights including BP, Total and the Wood Group PSN.

As one of the biggest oil and gas hubs in the UK, the event is designed to showcase the exemplary facilities and development opportunities Shetland has to offer.

Over the course of the day, you can enjoy keynote speeches and presentations from corporate bigwigs, as well as chats with local supply chain and service providers.

Goodie bags for everyone? We’re not sure there will be wee baskets of Shetland bath soaps but what’s certain is you will be able to take away unrivalled local knowledge on how to conduct oil and gas-related business.

A slap-up dinner will also be laid on for delegates, providing ample networking opportunities.

The cost of attending is £175 for non-members, and £100 for members. To register or for more information on this Energy North showcase event – and all other upcoming Energy North events in 2015 – visit www.energynorth.co.uk
