Full Job Description

Our Insurance Division are looking for a Project Accountant for a 9-month role based in either Bristol or Edinburgh. In this role as a Project Accountant, you will work either independently or within a small team to perform investigations and build processes to implement into BAU, as part of an initiative to strengthen the control environment and add insight to our reporting, specifically around With-Profits ("WP"). This role will involve working with a range of stakeholders and finding solutions to deliver the project successfully. This role will also cover 3 months of BAU support, specifically within our annual Solvency II UK reporting cycle.

  • Day to day you'll be;
  • Investigating, understanding and documenting the current controls environment in respect of our reporting of WP business;
  • Managing engagement and building a great working relationship with stakeholders to build new processes for further validation, providing further insight, and cleardown of legacy items;
  • Testing and implementation activities to ensure outputs meet expectations.

    Qualified finance professional (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with a track record of personal growth and achievement.
  • Life insurance reporting experience.
  • Good familiarity of actuarial concepts and processes.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and communicate.
  • Ideally Oracle Fusion, SAP or other general ledger experience.
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills and ability to work independently.
