Full Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager to join our team with specific remit for Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Anaesthetics and Scottish National Advanced Heart Failure Service (SNAHFS)

If you can think on your feet, have a can do attitude, are able to juggle competing priorities, and have experience in working in the NHS or another complex public sector organisation, then this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, which provides clinical care across NHS Golden Jubilee.

The post holders will report to the Clinical Service Manager and will be integral in ensuring that key performance targets and standards are met, maintained and sustained.  This will include playing a crucial role in the planning, development, implementation, improvement and management of services.  You will therefore need to have a proven record of accomplishment in leadership, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and show enthusiasm and commitment to develop in the role.

You will be expected to work independently to manage your own workload.  You will also deputise for your Service Manager when required.
