Full Job Description

  • Actively oversee the detailed scope and delivery of a significant number of audits in the audit plan and where necessary directly lead particularly complex audits within the portfolio.
  • Ensure appropriate planning for Audits in your portfolio, including selecting and supporting Engagement Leads who will project manage individual audits on your behalf.
  • Oversee progress, and manage the quality of audit delivery, make appropriate judgements as to when automated or data driven testing is most effective, and keep Audit and Business leadership informed regarding status, risks and other relevant insights.
  • Collaborate with resource scheduler to ensure necessary resource allocation to deliver on portfolio.
  • Manage relationship with, provide assurance and support regarding risk management and effective, efficient internal controls to business stakeholders.
  • Proactively suggests and delivers innovating thinking by bringing the outside in.
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement and drive different ways to make valuable contributions and shape direction for the team.
  • Actively role model the Group values and behaviours when managing and leading others.
  • Act as a career coach, performance manager, or pastoral (line) manager, if applicable, to a number of colleagues within the pool.
  • Provide timely, direct and effective feedback that gives to the ongoing development of direct reports and other team members.

    The ability to understand and interpret Group and Business Unit Strategy and connect audit delivery and business monitoring insights to such strategies at the Macro level. Data Literacy The ability to analyse, understand and communicate data as information, and to use data to drive effective audit outcomes. Managing Self Prioritising your work and that of others effectively to ensure timely and value-added delivery. Understanding the critical path for delivery and removing obstacles; planning and preparing to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively. Taking ownership for personal development and growth, and accountability for one's work and behaviours. Ability to understand and handle different situations, roles and teams with adaptability.   • Proven experience in reviewing the security and resilience of IT infrastructure and supporting systems.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in reviewing IT networks and infrastructure systems architecture.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the security and resilience of data centres and operational requirements.
  • Good knowledge of private and public cloud technologies.
  • Ability to translate IT infrastructure gaps/risks into business impacts.
  • CISA/CISSP or similar qualifications.
  • Other desirable capabilities linked to your work
  • Experience in defining or reviewing IT Strategy.
  • Subject matter expert in cloud technologies and related architecture and security frameworks.
  • Ability to develop innovative tools to support audit testing and continuous auditing.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Mainframe systems.
  • Subject matter expert in Middleware Systems (e.g., IBM DataPower, IBM MQ and API Connect)
  • Subject matter expert in Batch Management Systems and bulk file transfer technologies (e.g. Connect:Direct and Hyperchannel).
  • Knowledge of software development and software engineering methods, practices, and tools across the software development lifecycle., Disability Confident
