AWS Platform Developer

We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Developer to design, build, and support full-stack services for software delivery. The focus will be on developing and enhancing the RoS AWS Platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and support platform services, including libraries (CDK constructs) and vended services to enable platform features.
- Collaborate with Product Teams to ensure best practices in developing, testing, deploying, and supporting AWS-based products.
- Create accessible user interfaces using React while aligning with GDS principles where applicable.
- Develop APIs with clear specifications to support sustainable product development.

Key Skills & Experience Required

- Full-Stack Development: Proven experience in designing and building working software solutions and deploying to cloud environments using PaaS and SaaS.
- AWS Expertise: Proficient in AWS Serverless and cloud-native architecture, CI/CD methodology, and native AWS CI/CD tools.
- React Development: Strong knowledge of JavaScript UI frameworks, specifically React.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience defining infrastructure and processes as code.
- Testing & Automation: Knowledge of automated testing for AWS environments and build processes.
- Innovative Mindset: Ability to introduce efficient processes or concepts within the AWS ecosystem.
- Collaborative Approach: Work effectively with business stakeholders to deliver value-driven solutions.

Desirable Attributes

- Familiarity with producing accessible UI in line with GDS standards.
- Previous experience working as part of a community of developers consuming platform services.
