About the Organisation:
National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating right at the heart of NHSScotland providing invaluable support and advice at a strategic and operational level. NSS supports customers to deliver their services more efficiently and effectively and we offer shared services on a national scale using best-in-class systems and standards. Our priority is always the same to improve the health and well-being of the people of Scotland. We do this by working in partnership with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit for purpose solutions and systems, delivering high quality services that help our stakeholders to free up resources so they can be re-invested into essential services.
The Post:
We are recruiting to our exciting post of Business Change Co-ordinator (AFC Band 6*) within the Digital and Service Improvement area of Practitioner Services - a division within National Services Scotland. This post will be on Permanent and Pensionable basis and will be reporting to the Business Change Manager(s).
Working within the Dental & Ophthalmic section of Practitioner Services Service Improvement Team, we deliver changes and enhancements to the services and processes that support delivery of Primary Care by dentists and opticians, making payments for the work they carry out, based on claims submitted to us and validated by our systems. These may be driven by legislative change, upgrades to systems, resolution of problems or following review of existing processes.
*An updated version of the Job Description for the post has been drafted by current post holders and is about to be submitted for review under AfC.
The Candidate:
The candidate will need to deliver assigned work packages, often to tight deadlines, using their knowledge and judgement to prioritise their workload, usually working on multiple projects simultaneously. We work with stakeholders both internal and external to support these projects so good communication skills are vital, as is patience and powers of persuasion when encountering resistance to change.
The job requires review of technical documentation to ensure that the necessary details are captured accurately, requiring attention to detail and good analytical skills. You will need to carry out option appraisals, interpret complex data and produce Business requirements, Problem Statements, Communication, Transition and Delivery plans to help realise identified benefits.
