Position:

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Child and Maternal Health Public Health Programme Support Officer based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

Providing support to the Child Health  Commissioner and Consultant in Public Health the post holder will be working alongside the Child and Maternal Health teams in Public Health to lead and support activity directly related to improving health and wellbeing of our youngest citizens and their families.

This is an important and exciting time to support the transformational vision for services in line with the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

You will lead on key aspects of implementation and co-ordination of the child and maternal health public health programmes. This will require an understanding of research and ability to analyse and interpret data, as well as the ability to project manage. 

Relationships are central to all we do and the post holder will be required to develop, nurture and foster safe, trusting and effective partnership working.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You will be educated to degree level or with equivalent experience alongside project management skills.  An excellent communicator who can demonstrate partnership working. Understanding of UNCRC and child health policy alongside an awareness of the impact of health inequalities and demonstrates a commitment to reducing inequalities.

Hours:

37 per week
