Community Staff Nurse

Westside Team

Band 5 - £31,982 to £39,735 per annum

Plus £1,379 Distant Island Allowance per annum

37 Hours per Week

Fixed term Post for 1 year to cover maternity leave

A vacancy has arisen within the Westside community Nursing Team. The post holder will be a member of a team of Community Nurses providing nursing care to people in their own homes from the Westside Practice areas. This area covers from Ness in the north to Uig in the west and the post holder could be working in any of the 4 practice areas within the region.

Applicants must have some experience of working within a community nurse setting. This post would be an ideal opportunity for someone to develop their nursing skills and knowledge within a community setting. The post holder will work effectively as a team member taking forward the ongoing work around integration and supporting the Scottish governments 20 20 20 30 vision.

The post holder will be required to participate in working a TW shift and a weekend service on a rota basis. A flexible working approach is required. You will be a car owner/driver with a full UK driving licence. Staff nurses may be required to work in other areas of the Western Isles to provide nursing cover as required

The successful applicant will be required to register with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
