Scottish Opera is Scotland's national opera company, known for its innovative productions and commitment to bringing opera to audiences across the country. Based in Glasgow, our mission is to engage, inspire, and entertain through the power of opera.

As Donor Engagement Manager, you will play a vital role in recruiting new donors for Scottish Opera. We're looking for someone with a passion for donor acquisition and an ability to utilise data analysis to drive an effective recruitment strategy. This strategy will encompass events, mailing campaigns, digital fundraising and social media messaging that successfully engages individuals and represents Scottish Opera's values and purpose.

You will work with the Director of Fundraising and the Individual Giving Team to forge new relationships, establish a great basis for future giving and generate new income for the Company.

Key responsabilities:

- To plan and deliver a recruitment strategy designed to grow our lower and mid giving levels,
- To develop the strategy with a financial target of £25,000 new income in year one, and an additional £25,000 income in year two, plus an 80% retention rate for new supporters
- To ensure that donors have an excellent experience supporting Scottish Opera from day one, with opportunities and reasons to increase their giving alongside outstanding, thoughtful stewardship, We are committed to promoting equality and ensuring that no one is denied opportunities or discriminated against through prejudice or exclusion due to age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation. Proven experience of making the ask and developing a data-driven strategy.
- Proven experience of producing a compelling call to action and generating positive responses, whether via sales or participation.
- Knowledge of individual giving fundraising techniques and fundraising best practices across the whole charity sector.

- An understanding of excellent customer service and willingness to learn fundraising techniques, attend training and learn from colleagues.

- An interest in opera or the performing arts and an understanding of an arts environment would be an advantage., All candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work in the UK and documentary proof of this will be requested at interview.
