As an Engineer I, Building Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facilities operate seamlessly, contributing to a high-performing and sustainable work environment that supports ground breaking healthcare solutions. As part of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of our Eurocentral site, ensuring it is prepared for both day-to-day and future operations. You will work closely with Health, Safety, and Environmental teams, as well as maintenance personnel, to deliver excellent service and foster a collaborative workplace environment. By implementing proactive maintenance strategies, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety laws, you will contribute directly to the reliability and integrity of our sites., Technical Maintenance
- Perform a range of maintenance activities, including M&E, plumbing, building fabric repairs, and ad-hoc tasks.
- Lead and implement tasks for lighting, HVAC, hot and cold-water systems, and other facility services.
- Conduct statutory testing such as Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), emergency light inspections, and fire alarm testing, while maintaining records.
- Host sub-contractors and ensure alignment to safe working practices.
- Lead all aspects of the upkeep of common site areas, including external spaces, car parks, and recycling facilities.
- Implement facility validation activities and assist with equipment breakdowns and maintenance schedules. Compliance and Safety
- Ensure alignment to GxP standards and compliance within the company Quality Management System (QMS).
- Identify validation risks, assess impacts, and maintain robust audit trails for all work completed.
- Maintain records to support regulatory and internal quality standards. Planning and Project Support
- Plan and organize work for small facility projects, acting as the lead point of contact.
- Identify critical spare parts and manage stock levels to ensure operational continuity.
- Collaborate with the Engineering and IT departments for equipment maintenance and breakdown resolution.
Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC National qualification, ONC qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in electrical/mechanical engineering fields. - Full electrical qualification (17th/18th Edition or equivalent) and a valid driving license.
- Practical plant and facilities experience with at least 3-5 years in a similar role, including fault-finding in lighting, HVAC, and water systems. Skills

- Experience in compliance, safety practices, and validation processes.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions on repairs and contractor support.
