Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. 

The shift pattern is rotational day and night shift.

We are looking to recruit a compassionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Health Care Support Worker in Older Peoples Services Ward 30 (18 beds), Glasgow Royal Infirmary. 

Your role within the nursing and multi-disciplinary team is to provide delegated care which is safe, effective and person centred.  

You will competently support the registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care and support the maintenance of high standards contributing to the smooth running of the ward.

You will practice in an open, transparent and inclusive manner that is person centred at heart.  It is essential that you are keen to learn, hardworking, adaptable and have excellent communication skills.
