Full Job Description

We create better places where people and planet prosper., We are looking to recruit 2 HR Advisors to cover maternity leave on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract in our HR Department based in our Edinburgh/Glasgow Office and Yorkshire/Midlands office reporting to the Head of HR., The successful candidates will support line managers in handling of ER casework, develop line management capability though coaching, training and development. They will support recruitment campaigns and restructuring activities through the business. As well as assisting in the development of Engagement, Health & Wellbeing and Equality and Diversity related initiatives.

  • Excellent organisational, presentation and communication skills
  • Capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of IT packages such as Microsoft Office, and HR related software (Oracle experience would be desirable).
  • Team orientated and able to build successful working relationships across the business.
  • Rapidly assimilate information, provide sound and well thought out advice and guidance to managers.
  • Be capable of supporting internal investigations and determining facts upon which decisions can be made.
  • Capable of identifying opportunities for improvement across the HR function.
  • What we are looking for
  • Member of, or studying toward CIPD membership or similar HR qualification.
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Substantial experience within an HR Environment with a good working knowledge of employment law, codes of practice and good working practices.
  • A current knowledge of employment law trends and developments and willingness to attend CPD/training events.
