Band 5, 1 WTE

£31,892 - £39,735

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician, to work with the Lead Pharmacists for Community Pharmacy Development.

This job will provide an exciting opportunity to help support community pharmacy contractors across NHS Lothian to deliver the pharmacy contract and develop other pharmaceutical care services, with a particular focus on community pharmacy IT systems, locally and nationally.

You will be required to work autonomously as well as part of a team and a commitment to developing and improving services, systems and processes is key.   This post will require PVG Scheme Membership.

Experience of working in Community Pharmacy or Primary Care would be an advantage. The postholder will also be expected to support the training and supervision of members of the pharmacy team.

We serve a population of 900,000, providing a range of primary, community based and acute hospital services. We also provide regional and national services across a range of clinical specialties.

The vision for the Pharmacy & Medicines service is to deliver clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian get the best from their medicines and pharmacy services.  We are focussed on creating an environment where each person in the team has the opportunity to flourish, develop and make best use of their skills.
