Full Job Description
Functional
- Create and drive engagement among global employees including office-based, hybrid and remote workers, with inspiring content and effective campaigns.
- Write high quality comms content including original pieces from briefs and editing work from other colleagues to suit multiple channels. This will include but is not limited to internal news stories, blogs, employee profiles, presentation decks, internal announcements, communication plans and our internal social network.
- Produce digital content, including filming, recordings and video editing, and basic graphics.
- Develop and deliver internal communications plans for specific activities, working in partnership with colleagues across the globe to advise and develop effective communications.
- Manage and contribute to the team's content calendar by sourcing content and preparing detailed action plans for key internal engagement moments.
- Taking initiative to source stories and help manage a network of colleagues to tell the strategy's story across all platforms.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to deliver regular and creative content around the organisation's values, equity, diversity and inclusion work, internal recognition, learning and wellbeing.
- Develop and maintain the intranet, working proactively with teams to regularly update and develop hubs.
- Produce, distribute and enhance employee e-newsletters through monitoring and evaluation.
- Provide technical support for virtual, in-person and hybrid events including global employee meetings, leader Q&As and guest speaker sessions.
- Help maintain a strong network of communications colleagues and ambassadors across the organisation.
- Manage and respond to all correspondence sent to the internal communications email inbox.
- Support the continual monitoring, evaluation and improvement across internal communications using Google Analytics, polls, surveys and more.
- Act as an advocate for the brand guidelines to help ensure they are used and adhered to.
Excellent copywriting and editing skills, able to produce engaging, accurate written work to suit a variety of channels. Skilled at distilling large amounts of information, ideally for diverse, global audiences. - Experience using digital content management systems, particularly, Office 365 and SharePoint.
- Experience using digital content creation tools including video editing, for example, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro or Canva.
- Proven ability to develop and manage digital content, including intranets, e-newsletter software and skilled at using internal social channelsor similar social channels to drive internal engagement.
- Creative thinking, with analytical skills and ability to problem-solve.
- Able to evaluate and measure communications activity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate effectively with people from different cultures and at levels of the organisation.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and methodical approach, to prioritise work effectively.
- Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Champion for effective internal communications. Desirable
- Experience in internal communications or similar communications role.
- Proven experience developing and implementing communication plans.
- A communications or English language-related qualification.
- Experience using MailChimp or other email providers.
- Knowledge of effective user experience, user interface and analytics of digital content platforms.
- Online event management experience to run, plan and deliver employee events and initiatives.
- Experience using photos production packages, such as Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience within a charity or large global organisation
