Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is Full time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (30min early finish one day/week).

This is a full time permanent contract for a band 5 occupational therapist within a multi disciplinary Adult Community Mental Health Team.

Responsibilities will include: Mental health/occupational therapy assessment and treatment for individuals and groups residing in the south side of Glasgow.

Also required will be:

  • A knowledge of care for adults with mental health difficulties and appropriate interventions.
  • Confidence with their core occupational therapy skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

You will receive professional support and supervision from a senior occupational therapist, will gain access to appropriate training and maintain your continued professional development. It is essential you have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy with current (or pending) HCPC registration. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
