Full Job Description
Beoley Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) to provide full administrative functions to the Parish Council. The role is home-based for an average of 15-20 hours per month. The Council meets ten times a year on the second Tuesday of the month in Beoley Village Hall and attendance at these evening meetings will be required.
The starting salary for this post will be on the current NALC scale LC2 between SCP 22-25, pro rata, based on relevant experience and appropriate qualifications. The applicant would ideally hold a Certificate in Local Council Administration or be willing to study towards the qualification. Suitable applicants should have:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A flexible approach to working hours and the ability to work effectively and independently
- A willingness to learn and the ability to understand and interpret local government law
- Computer literacy, using applications including Word and Excel, and updating the Parish Council Website
- Skills in financial management
