Full Job Description
We are supporting our client to recruit a Personal Assistant/Companion to support a 12-year-old boy who is looking for a weekend companion to accompany him on activities including cycling, going to the park, walks etc. He is energetic and enjoys a fast pace so would benefit from someone with similar interests. He has learning difficulties and is nonverbal but uses sign a long to communicate. He has no risk awareness so requires supervision to keep him safe. You will be required to provide the following support:
- Accompanying to social activities.
- Social activity assistance.
- Suggesting activities to participate in. There is also a small element of personal care required in relation to reminding him to wash his hands and clean himself as required. You should have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
