An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an enthusiastic and fun group of staff working in our Public Convenience Cleaning team. We offer a professional cleaning service on a 52 week basis, working 5 over 7 days. You will be working 30 hours per week, 6 hours per shift with a mixture of shifts between the hours of 6.00am – 8.30pm. This role is paid at a Stirling Council Grade 2 (currently £13.12 per hour).

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of an allocated list of public conveniences each day which will be used by the general public. A full driving licence will be required for this post.

Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items, using cleaning machinery including electric buffing machines, scrubber dryers and vacuum cleaners. Be able to clean surfaces to head height and prepared to work alone including driving to areas anywhere in the Council area during the hours of darkness and in inclement weather. Cleaning experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. We will also provide personal protective equipment, uniform and use of a council vehicle.

Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.
