Senior Associate – Impact Assessment and Reporting

Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow

The Scottish National Investment Bank is seeking a Senior Associate to play a critical role in our mission to create lasting environmental, societal, and economic impacts for Scotland.  As part of our Impact Assessment & Reporting team, you will be responsible for evaluating and reporting on the positive outcomes generated by our investments across diverse sectors.  This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to sustainable growth and innovation.

In this key role, you will:

  • Lead the assessment and reporting of the Bank’s impact across all mission areas, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and Scotland’s broader sustainability objectives.
  • Deliver comprehensive, high-quality impact reports that meet both statutory and voluntary requirements, using recognised international standards.
  • Drive innovation in impact assessment methodologies, embedding best practices across the Bank’s diverse portfolio, including sectors such as economic development, infrastructure, and social inclusion.
  • Collaborate with investment teams, integrating impact considerations from project inception through to completion, ensuring that each investment is evaluated for its societal and environmental contributions.
  • Manage large-scale impact assessment projects and oversee the Bank’s data management systems, ensuring accurate and robust reporting.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including policymakers and external partners, to promote the Bank’s mission-driven outcomes and influence broader impact agendas.

About You:

  • Expertise in impact assessment, data analysis, or a related field, with a proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes within a specific sector or across multiple sectors.
  • Project management skills with experience coordinating efforts across teams and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing innovative impact assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external decision-makers.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact and contributing to Scotland’s sustainable future.

At the Scottish National Investment Bank, we offer a salary range of £64-74k, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days annual leave plus public holidays, a 12% non-contributory pension, and access to our EV Salary Sacrifice and Green Commute Cycle to Work Schemes, volunteer days, and more. We operate a hybrid working model and are open to discussing flexible working patterns.

We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply, even if you don’t meet every requirement. If you are eligible under the Disability Confident Scheme or require any adjustments to support your application, please get in touch. We are committed to providing the necessary support to ensure you can participate fully in our recruitment process.

Join us in shaping the future of Scotland’s sustainable growth and help drive forward impactful change.
