Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist based at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
This role encompasses Physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment within a team of physiotherapy staff. This post would be ideal for a band 5 looking for advancement and or experience of managing long term conditions/chronic respiratory disease. Previous experience of medical or surgical respiratory physiotherapy is essential. Knowledge and experience of long term conditions or public health is also desired.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
The most significant part of the post will be providing uni-disciplinary and multidisciplinary input to patients with respiratory disease on a 1:1 basis. This will involve clinic based treatment along with outreach to patients homes as required. Planning and running pulmonary rehabilitation classes is also a significant part of the post. Using technology is a key to adapting service delivery in the current climate.
The team has an excellent reputation for our quality of service and commitment to professional development, post graduate training.
We offer an active in-service and appraisal programme and peer support by therapists with widespread clinical skills.
You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work within a team. You must have HCPC registration and member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is highly desirable

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
Hours: 37 hours per week - 1 year fixed term
Depending on the preferred applicants situation, there may be some scope for flexibility in clinic location and working from home (i.e. base location flexible/negotiable).
