We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Senior on behalf of our client - a reputable and respected accountancy practice in Kilmarnock.

Joining the long-established accountancy firm, the successful candidate will work as part of the accounts team to provide an efficient, reliable and friendly service to personal and business clients.

The company offer a hybrid working approach (2 days in the office and 3 days from home to suit).

Reporting to Director, they will be responsible for the following...

Preparing & reviewing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients (limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders).
Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to clients.
Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns, corporation tax, and personal tax returns.
Liaising directly with clients and deal with queries, understanding their unique needs and ensuring they receive timely and accurate advice.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all matters related to accounting, tax, and financial planning.
General bookkeeping

Essential Requirements:

CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of 3 of experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations.
Proficient with MS Office & various accounting / bookkeeping software (i.e. Sage, IRIS)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
