Full Job Description

The post-holder will work independently to organise and prioritise daily/weekly workload and will contribute to teaching veterinary students in all aspects of producing diagnostic images. Imaging modalities covered are MRI in standing horses, scintigraphy, radiography and CT of standing and anaesthetised horses. Appropriate training will be provided where necessary. The post-holder will also ensure ongoing operation of imaging equipment by organising and planning their maintenance programmes; and ensure effective digital archiving of images obtained from these sources. The role may also involve assisting in other aspects of clinical care/procedures as directed by the equine head nurse.

We seek an enthusiastic individual to join our team and support all aspects of our advanced imaging service. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience handling and working with horses., The post is suitable for a Radiographer or Veterinary Nurses with significant experience of, and interest in, equine imaging. Horse handling skills are essential., Qualification as a diagnostic radiographer with at least two years' experience
OR a qualified Veterinary Nurse with significant equine imaging experience

Excellent horse handling abilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of radiation protection regulations and university systems, guidelines and policies.
Teaching experience desirable
