Full Job Description

The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies is seeking to appoint a Teaching and Student Services Administrative Assistant to support the delivery of the Student Experience. The post will include assisting with the running of our programme of student community events held throughout the year and supporting the processes in place from the Student Voice Policy to gather feedback from the students on course, programme and school issues.

The postholder must have excellent interpersonal skills. Effectiveness in this role critically requires someone who can work well with others, is flexible and open to change and can meet all deadlines with a friendly, approachable manner., Educated to Standard Grade or equivalent and/or relevant administrative/secretarial experience in busy office environment.
Evidenced high standard of written English, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in communications.
Competent with Microsoft Office and good IT skills. Full range of administrative and computing skills with experience of commonly used applications, particularly word processing, spread sheets and databases.
Flexible and diplomatic.
Comfortable engaging and networking with colleagues at all levels with ability to adapt your communications according to the audience.
Evidence of team working, working collaboratively with colleagues, business partners and key stakeholders to ensure programme delivery.
Capable of resolving unforeseen problems, and working independently, often under challenging circumstances and to tight deadlines.
A confident IT user with experience of using the full MS Office suite.
Flexible and adaptable approach to changes in systems and business processes.
