Full Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Admissions Administrators, Admissions Support Officers and Admissions Officers to provide a professional, effective customer-focused admissions service to postgraduate applicants and enquirers.

This is an opportunity to join a professional admissions team responsible for processing more than 50,000 applications a year.

You will be involved in screening and processing applications, approving application decisions, helping to manage the workflow within the team, and liaising with other departments within the University in order to helpfully and accurately respond to enquiries from prospective students.

Senior Admissions Administrators play an important role in enhancing communication with applicants, enquirers and other stakeholders through all stages of the application cycle and therefore having experience of working in a professional and customer-focused environment is essential.
You must enjoy working in a team environment within a busy customer-focused office and be able to work independently.
Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a friendly and enthusiastic approach to customer service as well as being highly organised with the ability to prioritise are essential.
A background in Higher Education would be useful but is not essential.

This post is fixed term for 6 months full time (35 hours per week). You will be expected to work on-campus for at least 40% of your working week. We are open to considering flexible working patterns., The salary for this post is £28,879 - £33,232 per annum (pro-rata for fixed term contract)
