Full Job Description
We are looking for exceptional Programme Managers to join the Strategic Change Service within the Corporate Services Group.
We are an expert team of professionals advising, coordinating, supporting and co-producing strategic initiatives and improvements in partnership with our colleges and services, and their constituent schools and departments. We are driven by a commitment to deliver positive outcomes that benefit those who work, study and partner with the University.
The service operates under a matrix management model with members of the service aligned to a capability team for their professional standards, development and line management, and deployed onto a strategic change programme/project for their strategic and operational delivery.
The role holder will line managed by the Head of Programme and Project Management and will contribute both to the development and continuous improvement of the capability and to the operational management of programmes/projects.
Candidates will be aligned to a specific programme of delivery and will be responsible for the leadership and operational management of resources and will provide expert support to the programme sponsor(s) and lead(s).
You can access information on our current portfolio on our Strategic Initiatives webpage.
We are recruiting for both open-ended and fixed-term roles across 2 adverts. Shortlisting and interviews will be combined across all roles, and we invite candidates to apply for both.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of programme and project management processes and techniques;
Significant experience within a large organisation: managing and/or advising on a significant change programme;
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills: demonstrable ability to positively influence and negotiate with colleagues at a senior level and to gather, analyse and present information, write reports and deliver presentations.
Experience of staff management, individuals and team building: demonstrable ability to empower and motivate staff, and to facilitate the implementation of lasting service improvement and coordination;
Ability to analyse and solve problems with an appreciation of possible longer-term implications.
The salary for this post is £62,098 - £76,398 per annum.
