Vacancies have arisen for  MSK Advanced Practice Physiotherapists in Primary Care -  First contact practitioner service, posts are Band 7 available for 22.5 to 37 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic MSK physiotherapists working at an advanced level to join our developing physiotherapy primary care service in beautiful scenic Dumfries & Galloway.  

Enabling physiotherapists to work within the Primary Care Team as Advanced Practitioners to impact patient care at the first point of presentation is highly rewarding. The role in Dumfries and Galloway allows clinicians to develop within Physiotherapy in GP practices who may not have had access to expertise in MSK conditions previously. The posts are both challenging and exciting with a flexible design. 

This post would suit an experienced, proactive and motivated Physiotherapist with:
    Highly specialist MSK clinical skills and knowledge of MSK conditions and differential diagnosis.
    A high level of awareness of MSK patient access, pathways within NHS and flow across health and social care services
    An interest in being part of service development, quality improvement and collaborative team working across many services in our region.
    Postgraduate training and experience to Masters/Level 11 relevant to MSK Physiotherapy.

Successful post holder will be based in various primary care GP practices across Dumfries (within Nithsdale locality) and towards Gretna (Annandale & Eskdale locality) within picturesque Dumfries and Galloway.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
