To be responsible for provision and development of the clinical psychology service for Regional CAMHS Melville inpatient unit, over and under 12's service.

To provide expert, prioritised, comprehensive and specialist clinical psychology services.

To be responsible for psychological policy development within the in-patient unit and to be jointly responsible for general policy development for in-patient services for adolescents in Lothian.

To provide professional leadership and be professionally responsible for all psychologists employed in the in-patient unit.

To participate in the development of Lothian in-patient services at a National level.

To provide highly specialist teaching, training and supervision of assistant, trainee and qualified staff from psychology and other disciplines, in relation to appropriate psychological knowledge and skills, including Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
