Full Job Description

A fixed term 9 month maternity cover vacancy has arisen within the Pharmacy Department Procurement Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team, procuring medicines in a timely, continuous and cost effective for patients with NHS Dumfries and Galloway.

The post holder should be highly motivated, able to pay close attention to detail and work to a high level of accuracy. The post holder should have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to contribute to the development of services and be a good team player.

This post will be required to cover 34.1 hours of Pharmacy Procurement. These hours will be spread across 5 days and require working until 17.

00 with hours negotiable within this.

Pharmacy Procurement comprises of 2 current members of staff based within the Pharmacy Procurement Office at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.

These two members of staff are supported by a Lead Procurement Officer and are part of a bigger Pharmacy Team comprising of around 60 members of staff within the Acute setting
