Senior Leadership PA/Support Officer

Band 4, 1.0 wte, 37 hours Permanent

Salary £27,598 - £30,019

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking PA to join our new Pharmacy Business Function team established following recent service transformation. This role will be part of a team of three, taking a fresh approach to PA duties and expanding on the traditional role to provide business and administrative support to the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team (PSLT). This role will offer opportunities to develop your skills and experience beyond the PA role and be a key contributor to the business function shaping the delivery of the pharmacy programme of transformational change. 

This role requires consistent attention and high levels of accuracy. Discretion and confidentiality are essential in this role, as is outstanding organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload to ensure that that deadlines are met. 

NHS Lothian covers Edinburgh city, East Lothian, Midlothian, and West Lothian. We are the second largest health system in NHS Scotland and one of only four teaching Boards. We have strategic partnerships with local Universities, Local Authorities and our four Integration Joint Boards. We serve a population of 900,000, providing a range of primary, community based and acute hospital services. We also provide regional and national services across a range of clinical specialties.

With strong interpersonal and communication skills you will be educated to SCQF level 8, e.g., HND level in a business administration/other relevant subject, or significant equivalent level of experience.  With experience in a previous PA or senior administrative support role you will have sound knowledge of MS Office packages, mail/calendar management and minute taking. You must show initiative and prioritise work, manage your own workload and maintain high standards with excellent attention to detail. Knowledge and experience of the NHS would be advantageous.
