LOCUM APPOINTMENT FOR TRAINING IN HAEMATOLOGY
WESTERN GENERAL HOSPITAL AND ROYAL INFIRMARY OF EDINBURGH

Applications are welcome for the above Fixed Term, 40 hours per week) post based in WGH and RIE, Edinburgh
The posts consist of fulltime attachments within the Southeast of Scotland Haematology training programme which will be based either at Western General Hospital or Royal Infirmary. The Training programme offers comprehensive training in all aspects of clinical and laboratory haematology and follows closely the training curriculum for Higher Specialist Training in Haematology. There is compulsory half day educational afternoon once a month in addition to site specific weekly morphology and departmental educational meetings. The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement has required educational content and Deanery approval.
This post has deanery approval for training and the successful applicant will receive training opportunities at the appropriate level based on previous experience.
There may be a possibility to extend this appointment to the end of the training year. The extension may be at any of the hospitals on the rotation.
