Based in Scotlands capital City the Edinburgh Cancer Centre has a worldwide reputation for the provision of high-quality evidence-based cancer care and research.

The Edinburgh Haematology Centre has recently undergone a significant upgrade to accommodate the service. The unit comprises of a purpose-built facility providing care in an extended day case area to facilitate the transfer of care from an in-patient to out-patient model. The unit provides care for mainly malignant haematological conditions and is the Regional autologous stem cell transplant unit for the South-East of Scotland, performing between 60 to 70 transplants per year. Allogenic Transplants are referred to Glasgow but this post involves supporting the patients before, during and after the treatment.

We are also a CAR-T cellular therapy delivery centre.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver comprehensive specialist haematological support for our patients, ensuring the highest standard of person-centred care is delivered in partnership with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.

The successful applicant will preferably have experience either within a Haematology or Oncology setting. The Clinical Decision-Making course or an equivalent at SQA Level 10, Leadership, managerial skills, change management and service redesign experience are desirable.
