Vacancy: Practice Nurse or Treatment Room Nurse (25 - 37 hours per week)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Practice Nurse or Treatment Room Nurse (depending on experience), to join our friendly Practice, Calsayseat Medical Group, located in the City Centre of Aberdeen. This role is ideal for candidates who are looking for an introduction into General Practice.  We have around 12,000 patients and we are seeking someone to work 25 - 37 hours per week.  

We are a well-established teaching practice with an ethos of quality patient care that is our key driving motivation. We have reestablished ourselves as a training practice and look forward to welcoming GP trainees into the practice soon.

Our multi-disciplinary practice employed house teams include a full-time pharmacy team supported by technicians, an experienced practice nursing team, a Mental Health Nurse, 2 Physician Associates and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.  We have 2 Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) employed by CTAC, working alongside the Practice Nurses as well as a First Contact Physiotherapist in the building, 3 days per week. On-site ACIS and CAB consultations are a huge practical support for our patients.  

The right person will have a commitment to offering a high standard of patient care, be a great team player, be positive and motivated to provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the healthcare team. 

Some of the Key responsibilities in relation to delivering health services: (this list is not exhaustive) 

  • work as part of the practice clinical team to provide and monitor care. 
  • improve safety and quality of care at every opportunity. 
  • provide wound care, cervical screening, ECGs, hypertension reviews, in line with the   competencies of the role. 
  • maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient health records. 
  • enhance own performance through continuous professional development, imparting own knowledge and behaviours to meet the needs of the service. 
  • Experience of working autonomously in a healthcare role (Primary or Secondary care) 

The right candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational skills and be an active part of our clinical team. 

To be considered for this position you must have a Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with current NMC registration. 

Salary TBC, (pro rata) depending on experience, this will be discussed at interview.

  • Applicants must have a current UK professional registration. 
  • Completed all relevant training.
