NHS Lothian Senior Circular Economy and Waste Minimisation Manager
NHS Lothian are Recruiting to the Post of Senior Circular Economy and Waste Minimisation Manager Band 8A. We are looking for an exceptional and committed individual with expertise in circular economy, waste minimisation, scope 3 emissions and environmental sustainability.
NHS Lothian consumes approximately £180M on products (excluding pharmaceuticals) and generates around 7000 tonnes of waste per annum.
We are looking for someone who can provide professional leadership for NHS Lothian in relation to the development of the circular economy and waste minimisation scoping, developing and implementing strategy and plans which can deliver both carbon and cost savings.
The post will be part of a small NHS Lothian Environmental Sustainability Team with a strong track record of vision, learning and delivery. Commitment to teamwork and team development is essential and one of the most important opportunities of this role is the potential to contribute to and learn from the team.
This is a new and unique role in NHSL/NHS Scotland that requires expertise and commitment to learning, excellent analytic and communication skills to secure to achieve improvements in the management of products, services, materials and waste avoidance.
This is an excellent opportunity to use and develop your expertise and commitment and to extend your experience into the highly complex environment of the NHS. You will require the ability to persevere, to lead effectively across a wide range of sites, disciplines and services and be part of ground level operations as well as develop strategy. You must be flexible, and committed to action and delivering change.
