Then the Environment Agency is for you!

We are fully committed to being an inclusive employer and ensuring equal opportunities for everyone. We welcome flexible working patterns for all our vacancies, including job share.

Responding to incidents is an important part of what we do. With this in mind you'll have an incident role and should be ready to make yourself available to respond or provide business continuity support. This may attract an additional payment. Full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you.

The Digital Strategy team sits in Strategy, Transformation and Assurance. We work across the EA, with our Digital, Data and Technology Corporate Services partner (DDTS) and the wider Defra Group in three broad areas:

1 - Digital strategy development and the EA's strategic approach to digitally-enabled business transformation,

2 - Ensuring our workforce has the people and skills it needs for a digital future.

3 - Enabling and supporting corporate level IT change with DDTS.

Experience of working at a strategic and operational level, ideally in a large and diverse organisation, with the ability to understand and contribute to the big picture .

Enthusiasm for problem solving and can demonstrate how they use their initiative to proactively identify and address risks and opportunities.

Excellent people skills, is an effective communicator who appreciates different perspectives and who is able to develop strong networks to enable efficient and successful delivery.

Highly desirable skills/experience:

Experience and understanding of learning and development to support the Government Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) profession and/or digital priorities.
