Full Job Description
We are fully committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce to reflect the communities we serve. We welcome flexible working patterns for all our vacancies.
Do you want to guide, inspire, and motivate an Environment Agency team to be the best they can be for our communities and the environment? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and ambitious leadership team creating a greener and more resilient future for Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and Cheshire.
We have a team leader role available to lead the Analysis and Reporting team. In this role you'll need to be able to identify and prioritise risks, give clear direction and support to the team. You'll ensure outputs are timely and of appropriate quality and oversee tasks to keep the team delivery on target and to standard.
We are seeking a team leader who can manage and motivate the team to deliver our ambitions for the environment and our inclusive people priorities.
Your ongoing personal development is important. You will have the opportunity to gain further skills and knowledge to complement and enhance your capabilities as a leader within the organisation.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You are required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training is given. We will work with you to find a role that suits your interests and circumstances.
PLEASE NOTE - There may be other Team Leader vacancies across the area and with your consent, we will hold you on a reserve list for 6 months for these vacancies with the possibility of offering you an alternative post.
The team
The Analysis and Reporting team collect, analyse and interpret freshwater environmental data to inform a range of legislative, national and local requirements.
You will be part of the Area Leadership Group. Our leadership roles cover a diverse range of teams across the whole of Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and Cheshire helping to make our area an even better place to work and live.
Our people are our number one priority. You will be passionate about leading, developing and supporting people and will be a positive role model who can inspire others.
You'll be able to manage demands on your team from internal and external sources to help prioritise and manage workloads.
You'll have sound leadership skills and believe that providing great leadership is fundamental to our ability to protect and improve the environment for people and wildlife.
You should have experience of leading people and this may have been achieved through non-team leader roles.
We welcome experience from all sectors and we value the passion and transferrable skills that candidates can bring to the role.
